«Las tendencias homosexuales en sí, no son pecaminosas… el pecado consiste en sucumbir de forma trastornada (a ellas)…», ha asegurado el fraile mariano Andrzej Szostek, ex rector de la Universidad de Lublin, como lo publica este lunes el portal católico Aleteia.

Bajo el revelador título: «¿Puede ser Santo un homosexual? Responde un fraile con tendencia homosexual», el texto aclara incluso que la Iglesia (católica) admite la membresía de personas con tendencias homosexuales.

«Posiblemente, aquellos que experimentan dichas tendencias (yo mismo, sin falta ni mérito propios, soy uno de ellos) son capaces de adentrarse en relaciones de amistad especialmente profundas con otros hombres y otras mujeres», señala el artículo que, en la forma de entrevista, cita al mencionado representante eclesiástico.

La publicación aclara que «el pecado supone una elección deliberada de algo que la persona en sí misma considera moralmente inadmisible”, y que esa inclinación  «desordenada» constituye, para la mayoría de quienes la presentan, «una auténtica prueba”.

«La Iglesia aprueba la membresía de personas con tendencias homosexuales… no obstante, si alguien es abiertamente homosexual, y anuncia (estar relacionado íntimamente con otro del mismo sexo)… debe tratar de buscar su relación con una pareja acorde a la doctrina moral de la Iglesia», sostiene el fraile Szostek.
